Spacings of quarkonium levels with the same principal quantum number.

چکیده
The spacings between bound-state levels of the Schrödinger equation with the same principal quantum number N but orbital angular momenta l differing by unity are found to be nearly equal for a wide range of power potentials V = λr , with ENl ≈ F (ν,N) − G(ν,N)l. Semiclassical approximations are in accord with this behavior. The result is applied to estimates of masses for quarkonium levels which have not yet been observed, including the 2P cc̄ states and the 1D bb̄ states.

Single-valence electron atoms are an important class of atoms. Their oscillator strengths are their important properties. Knowing the oscillator strengths one can easity calculate the transition probabilities of the spectral lines and hence the lifetimes of energy levels of most atoms. The oscillator strengths of the spectral lines of most atoms are not knoen with sufficient accuracy due to t...
متن کاملEvaluation of seed cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) production and quality in relation to the different irrigation levels and two row spacings
The effect of row spacings and irrigation levels on the earliness of seed production of cotton was investigated under the Mediterranean environment of central Greece. This particular cotton growing area is exposed to risk of autumn rainfall that might cause low seed quality in fields allocated primarily for seed production. Two varieties of cotton, Celia and Hersi, were planted in two row spaci...

We study the distances, called spacings, between pairs of neighboring energy levels for the quantum harmonic oscillator. Specifically, we consider all energy levels falling between E and E + 1, and study how the spacings between these levels change for various choices of E, particularly when E goes to infinity. Primarily, we study the case in which the spring constant is a badly approximable ve...
متن کاملEnergy Levels of InGaAs/GaAs Quantum Dot Lasers with Different Sizes
In this paper, we have studied the strain, band-edge, and energy levels of cubic InGaAs quantum dots (QDs) surrounded by GaAs. It is shown that overall strain value is larger in InGaAs-GaAs interfaces, as well as in smaller QDs. Also, it is proved that conduction and valence band-edges and electron-hole levels are size dependent; larger QD sizes appeared to result in the lower recombination...
